Straw shoes hold religious and cultural significance in Nepal. To preserve and promote this traditional craft, a 15-day training was organized in Manara Siswa Municipality for 25 women. The training was led by Miss Rajani Chitrakar, with technical support from Miss Sangita Raye. This initiative aimed to equip women from outside the core urban area of
the valley with new skills and marketing knowledge.The participants expressed enthusiasm and a sense of empowerment from the training. It contributes to SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
