9 month eco-friendly bag training was held from 1st November 2022 to
30th July 2023 with the goal to mitigate climate change and promote
environmentally sustainable products. The 9 months session was given
to 15 women who became successful entrepreneur and trainer later. The
trainers were Miss. Amkan Karmacharya and Mrs. Niru Tandukar. The
session was funded by Kanthari, Swiss Foundation with the total fund of
USD 25,139.56. During the training participants not only learn about bag
making but they were also taught about the practical knowledge about
how they can start their own business after completion of training. 3
month internship help them boost their confident on themself. The 9
month eco-friendly bag training supported SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by
empowering 15 women to become entrepreneurs and trainers, and SDG
8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by creating sustainable income
opportunities. It also aligned with SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption
and Production) by promoting the use of eco-friendly alternatives to
plastic, and SDG 13 (Climate Action) through efforts to reduce
environmental impact and support climate change mitigation
