MENOPAUSE AND ANDROPAUSE AWARENESS

On Mangsir 15, 2080 (December 1, 2023), the WEC organized a “Menopause and Andropause Awareness” program. The objective of the program was to educate participants about the physical and psychological changes associated with menopause and andropause. Dr. Chand Srivastav, President of MESON (Medical Society of Nepal), and Dr. Sheila Verma, Senior Vice President of MESON, led informative sessions on these topics. Based on their international research and
experience, they provided insights into the effects of menopause and andropause on an individual’s lifestyle, symptoms, causes, treatments, and prevention methods. The program also included a Q&A session, which helped attendees
clarify their doubts related to the subject. The event aimed to raise awareness among both men and women about menopause and andropause while empowering them to manage the transition effectively. This initiative supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting awareness of age-related health issues and encouraging preventive care, and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by addressing health topics that affect both men and women, fostering informed and inclusive discussions
