Sujani Maharjan’s journey with the Women Empowerment Center is a testament to the transformative power of skill development and self-belief.

“I have always admired Geeta didi and her work at the Women Empowerment Center,” Sujani shared. “When I learned about the 9-month bag-making training, I eagerly filled out the application, full of excitement and hope.”

Before joining the training, Sujani earned a modest income by sewing bags on order. While it provided for her in small ways, she longed for more—both in terms of skill and confidence. “This training has not only equipped me with new techniques but has also empowered me to dream bigger. I now have the knowledge and expertise to become self-employed and independent,” she said, her voice filled with pride and determination.

Sujani envisions sharing her newfound skills with other women in her community. "I encourage every woman to embrace the skills they've learned and to move forward with confidence. We have so much potential within us," she emphasized.

She closes her reflection with gratitude, “I want to give special thanks to the Women Empowerment Center for offering me this life-changing opportunity. It’s more than just training; it’s a path to independence and self-respect.”
